An invitation into a vast intellectual heritage—through its works, scholars, institutions and the connections between them.
01 / The mandateA catalogue, not a collection of claims
Open a gate. Give people a way through.
The founder’s brief is to introduce Chinese intellectual heritage through study before judgment. The challenge is one of discovery: texts, people and institutions are difficult to encounter as a connected body of work.
The website gives that material an editorial home and a navigable structure. It is a gateway to further inquiry, not a substitute for scholarship.

Warm paper and brown ink carry the reading. Cinnabar marks the points of entry. Latin and Chinese type keep distinct voices within the same catalogue.
04 / Information architectureDifferent doors into one catalogue
Begin with a field. Follow a connection.
The catalogue connects works to traditions, dynasties, scholars and institutions. It offers several entry points instead of requiring the visitor to know a title in advance.

An editorial map of the six Chinese tradition labels in the live catalogue. Explore them through the site’s own filters; this plate is not a simulated search interface.
The landing page establishes the project’s question. The catalogue gives visitors search and filters. The About page makes the editorial position explicit.
All three screens were captured from the correct website in September 2026.

Boundaries
Catalogue counts vary between live sections, so this case does not claim an audited collection total. Historical and interpretive statements belong to the source project, not independent validation here. Current code-repository ownership and final contribution credits remain unverified.
